Drug Testing

Centerpoint’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services offers comprehensive drug testing for teens involved in Centerpoint’s services. Drug tests are best used to support treatment plans for youth participating in counseling for substance use, mental health, emotional needs, or behavioral concerns. Toxicology screening may also be effective in providing more objective information about a young person’s drug or alcohol use. Many youth use their routine drug tests as aids to support their abstinence and resist the pressure to use. Centerpoint’s confidential drug testing also allows teens to be in compliance with court orders or school policies when they are found in violation due to a drug or alcohol related offense.

Centerpoint’s standard 7 panel urine drug test screens for:

  • Marijuana
  • Alcohol
  • Cocaine
  • Opiates, such as heroin, Oxycodone, and Percosets
  • Amphetamines and stimulants, such as “speed”
  • Barbiturates, including “downers” and sleeping pills
  • Benzodiazepines, including Valium and Klonapin

Other substances, such as methadone, ecstasy, buprenorphine, and LSD may be screened through special request and at additional charge.
