Blending social support and counseling services with classroom and on-the-road driving lessons, Centerpoint’s Driver Education & Training helps young people to improve their overall well-being as they become safe, skilled, responsible, and confident drivers. Students participate in state-licensed classroom and road instruction in preparation for the Vermont DMV Driving Exam while also receiving individualized plans that help them to learn and practice essential skills, including:
- problem solving and healthy decision making
- increasing their ability to manage difficult emotions and behaviors
- coping with stress and risky situations
- improving their physical and emotional wellness
Centerpoint’s Driver Education & Training is designed for youth and young adults with a range of specialized or complex needs that require individualized, creative, and flexible attention.
